My farmhouse guest bedroom is one of my favorite rooms in the entire house! Probably because it was the first room I put together and so many of my favorite pieces are in here! See what all the rooms in my home looked like before – here.
The furniture set was part of my college furniture and fit perfectly in this room. The round side table was a hand-me-down from my mom and everything else was found pickin’!
I can’t wait to hang a wreath on this fence gate for the holidays!
When I’m a guest in someone else’s home, I always appreciate having a mirror in the bedroom – bathroom time can be hard to find when there’s a house full of folks, so having the option to do my beauty routine in the bedroom takes some of the stress off sharing a bathroom. There’s also a full-length mirror on the back of the guest bedroom door in my home for those “How does my outfit look” moments we all go through!
The little dish was a clearance find at Target and it’s perfect for guests to drop their “stuff” in – jewelry, keys, etc. – so they don’t misplace anything.
My mom and granny made all the quilts on the blanket ladder – true family heirlooms! I plan to do a full post on these quilts and other quilts in my home one day. But for now, a quick overview… The top one is a “Granddaddy Quilt” and my granny made it out of my Pa Jamie’s shirts, after he passed away. (He inspired this blog and its name. Read more here). This quilt is probably my favorite thing in the entire world. It sits on the blanket ladder all the time because I’m too afraid something will happen to it otherwise!
So, what did you think of my farmhouse guest bedroom reveal? I’ll be posting tours of other rooms in the house soon.
Stay tuned –
