It’s finally here! Today I’m sharing my farmhouse master bedroom makeover reveal with you. This room has come a long way since I first moved in – you can see the proof below!
And you can see the rest of the before photos here.
Here’s what the room looks like after…
The faux deer head was a housewarming gift from my sweet sisters and is the perfect statement piece over the bed! (Also, are you sensing an antler theme yet?!)
I struggled putting this bedroom together because I wanted everything to be match-y, match-y. I really wanted to purchase a furniture set for the room but lacked the budget for all new furniture. So, I compromised. I bought unique pieces that could be used in other rooms one day (When I could afford a matching set instead). But, once the room was completely furnished, I fell in LOVE with the look of the unique mismatched pieces.
Each piece is completely functional and has its own style, making the bedroom a cozy, eclectic mix of different textures and materials. I have no plans to replace with a matching set now!
The headboard was a $15 thrift store find – no joke! I love the contrast the dark wrought iron provides with the natural wood and white linen colors and textures.
I added the dresser last because it took me forever to find the perfect piece! I knew I wanted a rustic look and to stay in line with the other woods in the room, I needed something in the driftwood / gray family. Do you know how hard it is to find an affordable piece with these characteristics? Well, my mom saved the day when she scored this dresser at our favorite local scratch and dent furniture store. The best part – there is no damage and it was a deal. So win all around!
What do you think of my farmhouse master bedroom reveal? It’s one of my favorite rooms in the house! What’s your favorite room in your house?
